Who is behind StingRing®?

In 2018, three friends decided to launch the StingRing® project as young entrepreneurs.

While still at university, Christian B., Tamara K., and Thomas S. devoted a great deal of time to the topics of safety and self-defence.

Designing and manufacturing the device posed major challenges for the young team. It took almost two years to perfect the product.

All that effort paid off: after the market launch in 2020, it quickly became clear that the electric fist ring was a success from day one and that demand for personal protection was high.

In 2024 we finally received the long-awaited “TÜV-tested” seal. Shortly afterwards, in spring 2025, the device obtained official approval with the PTB mark.

Today, StingRing® GmbH is an established German company with 11 employees.

Public safety and customer satisfaction are our top priorities.
